At 43 years old I have seen what I describe as "black vs white," polar thinking in many people. For instance, on issues dealing with a simplistic view of the world such as "right vs left" are some of the biggest pet peaves of mine. As we know the world is not that simple and there is a huge grey area between "right vs left" along with any other topics that many people don't realize. Many people already have that preset foundation in their minds for a variety of topics along with learned default replies.
One big example is if I post an article with a headline such as this:
Many people -- and some people who think they know me as if I or themselves were robots -- would say I am talking about letting people starve or consider this to be something like "right wing propaganda.' This is the kind of black vs white fallacious thinking I see everywhere.

If they were to actually read the article they would realize it's much more complex -- but also much more simple at the same time -- than what they thought.
It's always easier to mock those trying to understand issues we can't or won't try to understand and mock them especially when we say there are forced bigger than them at work around us when that is indeed a big fact. Those bigger forces are long entrenched systems benefitting those in power and that's usually very wealthy corporations.
When asked what the solution or solutions are, these same people are often the ones to call for some god father figure (some kind of politician) to oversee some kind of glorious program to provide for the poor without strings attached. The same people calling for no strings money are often influenced heavily by the same corporations and lobbyists looking to keep their brand of friendly fascism going but under a different brand.
It's also the same people keeping masses of people in poverty! Not a coincidence!
When has that ever worked? It's just the same "daddy take care of me" mentality that we had before under a different name. Never mind that government root words are govern, to control and ment, which is mind. So you have the two root words of govern and ment which means mind control. This is not some kind of strange play on words but indeed a fact.

Now, that doesn't mean we can't have more non-governmental organizations doing more of government work.
